    Is this normal?

Now I'm nervous. I bought this off eBay. The guy had 100% positive feedback, but I noticed that the package was shipped from Ukraine. Hmm - i wonder if it's a knockoff

    Is this normal?

    Tank connection is smaller.

    Is this normal?

My regulator is an EN562. Here are a couple more pics to better show the problem.

    Is this normal?

When I move the nut over the threads of the tank, there's a lot of space....it's like it's meant for a larger tank. Arg

    Is this normal?

I picked up my 5lb CO2 tank on Craigslist and then ordered a Micro Matic regulator, but the regulator doesnt seem to fit the co2 tank (regulator connection for a larger tank maybe?). Is it a matter of just picking up a coupling of some kind at Home Depot so that it fits? It seems like usually...

Two thermometers, two readings. What do I do?

    What should that temp be?

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

@Dcrog - will you temp control the ferment? If so, how will you do it? (i.e. What kind of setup).

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Thanks BM! I will follow your schedule then :). My only worry is that you provided specific fermentation temps and I don't have that much control with my current setup. The ambient temp in my house is around 72F, so I tried putting the brew bucket into a 30gal Brute, added a few gallons of...

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Seems like a fairly short secondary. Is there a particular strategy there (e.g. light ABV doesn't need as long)? Would this particular brew benefit from waiting a bit longer? I racked mine from into a secondary carboy on day 5, and it will be my first attempt at kegging. Just trying to get...

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Has anybody tried subbing citra with this recipe?

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Brewed my second all-grainer yesterday. Chose BierMuncher's Centennial Blond, because I want to have a good session/lawnmower brew that my wife will also like as the weather heats up. I checked this morning and we've got active bubbling! Additionally, I'm ordering kegging equipment so this...

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Hi Ricand, Good to know! Where were you a couple days ago when I was buying supplies :) Sounds like Notty will work just fine for me. It will be nice following BM's recipe exactly since this is my first attempt. This will be the "control" batch and give me something to compare changes down...

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Hello Fellow Brew Heads, Just completed my second all-grain attempt and decided to go with BM's famous Centennial Blonde! I'm trying to learn as much as possible, so I'd love your thoughts about my numbers from the day. Does this all seem pretty standard, is there anything I can do to...

    Cheers!

Hello Everyone, This seems like a great community with a wealth of knowledge (which I've already leveraged by lurking). I'm a fairly new home brewer who started with a few batches of extract brews, and recently converted to all-grain. I just brewed my second all-grain today and chose to go...
