    Honey beer

    Ok so I've tried making a honey beer I started a small batch 1 lb of of honey and 2 lbs of light malt extract for 2 gallons all went well not too strong. But it's not ended up tasting good. So I was thinking of blending it with a plain beer any ideas anyone? I was thinking 2/1 plain to honey?

    Hi I just want to clarify , do you just add honey till it sweet enough for your tastes? ie a pound of honey to a gallon of mead sort of thing ?

    Well it did not clear aswell as it could have but bottled now. Sample tasted great start OG 1063 FG 1010 So a little strong I can't wait to try it

    I'm not sure if its the water or sanitiser I've used any ideas. I have filtered the water and washed out both demijohn carboy and mini kegs any ideas ?

    I have come across a pumpkin ale recipe and still have a couple left over from autumn as well as a spare demijohn so I'm thinking of giving it a crack 1 gallon only as that's my spare demijohn and am still needing to keep everything else going as I've run out of beer that's ready --1 kg pumpkin...

    Cheers I'm sure it would work great but it's based on the US So I'm not sure what my malt and yeast come up as being from the UK But I believe your right and it would be very hoppy I may cut back and do .5 oz but for 30 mins and .5 for 10 mins

    Well it's only my second beer and I put the hops in for about twice as long so very bitter and dry

    Cheers I still think under 4 sounds more likely But anything s possible I over hopped if that's possible

    7.2 sounds way high for a London ale My final was 1.01 with a starting of 1.04 So I'm reckoning that 3.92 abv is closer So bottled half and easy kegged the other half Just hope it's drinkable come Christmas

    Hi all I cannot make out how strong my beer is likely to be ? My starting OG was 40 ish and looks to be ending at about 15/13 but I'm lost on the math I'm guessing about 3 ? Any help would be great !!
