Irish Red Ale Raging Red Irish Red Ale

I second this. BIAB all grain is easy and satisfying. Also, spent grain is a good way to make friends with chicken owners and get some free eggs.

Irish Red Ale Raging Red Irish Red Ale

I just brewed this again. My new brew store here in Durham didn't have Crystal hops so I ended up going with Challenger at 50 minutes. hopefully the results are appropriate. I loved this one last time. Thanks again for a great recipe.

Brewtarget is a good tool for estimating results before...

    traditional English Brown ale

Thanks for the response, now I'll know where the "raisin" flavor came from if that's a problem. I don't enjoy the coffee / bitter flavor of chocolate malt myself. I really DO enjoy the flavor of the English Brown Malt I get from my local brew store. I know it's not "british chocolate" myself...

Irish Red Ale Raging Red Irish Red Ale

Just bottled this a week ago. I went with brown sugar instead of honey but other than that did it by the recipe, BIAB 5 gallon (tiny apartment, no other way in that much space) I jumped the gun and had an early taste. Already AMAZING! Thanks for posting this recipe. Definitely one of my...
