    Decisions

    I agree 100%. I got into making my own wine and beer because I thought it was cost effective. I quickly learned that it really is about creating something that you and your friends will enjoy.

    Stalled Fermentation?

    I did agitate it by stirring it back up a few times. I didn't want to overaerate it. Took a hydrometer reading yesterday, and it was down to 1.010. In a couple of days it should be finished. Thanks for the advice. :rockin:

    Started an Irish Red Ale on 7/24 Did a 2 gallon boil because that was the biggest pot I had. Used an Ice bath to lower the temp to around 80 degrees. Pitched the dry yeast onto the wort (did not do a yeast starter). OG=1.040 Transferred to Secondary on 7/31. Gravity reading was...

    Thanks for the advice. I was concerned mostly because I felt the finished product tasted like watered down Pinot. Do you think that aging it a couple of more weeks will improve that?

    I just got done bottling my 1st batch of wine, which happened to be a Cellar Craft Pinot Grigio kit. I have a question: 1. The kit size was 15L which means it was mostly juice, and only required a gallon or two of water to get it up to level in the primary. I followed the kit instructions...
