    Strike temp?

http://brew365.com/mash_sparge_water_calculator.php I use this calculator to figure everything out for my brew day. It does strike temp volumes and takes account loss to trub and equipment losses

    HBS forgot my hops

first additions was supposed to be at 30min, just wanted the flavors from this one. It ends pretty dry so didn't want to much bitterness. You think the dry hop will give it some good mango flavors like if I added to the boil.

    HBS forgot my hops

I wanted to make a simple beer while I wait for my bourbon maple oak aged barley wine conditions (and probably going to have to need to have make a couple more batches). So I drove to my LHBS which is like 45 minutes away. I don't mind the drive because there is a great thai place right around...

Anheuser Busch and their deceptive marketing

I really don't care who makes the beer. If its good ill drink it, which is the reason why I don't enjoy any Inbev beers. They are a business and the reason you open a business is to make money. Some people love doing it also but if their is no profit there is no business. I do hate the fact...

Brew in a bag, overnight mash for high efficiency

I heard of people getting their beers a little bit drier with the overnight mash. It sounds like a good idea though seeing how easy brew in a bag is. I was doing it before I had a mash tun and I loved it. It would be great for my smaller batches.

    Green beer vs Brewery

Six months is a very long time. What style of beer are you brewing? Big abv beers and beer with spices tend to take a long time to condition usually. I haven't heard of anyway around that. If your brewing a regular abv beer it usually takes about 3 weeks to bottle condition or as soon as...

    Maple Bourbon Barrel-Aged Barleywine

About to take this one on in a few week and I realized that I've never made a beer of this gravity before and want to make sure I know what I'm getting into. I've heard that you need to aerate the crap out of high gravity wort and even sometimes aerate during the early stages of fermentation...

    Maple Bourbon Barrel-Aged Barleywine

Making this in about a month. Looking foward to the process, never made a beer quiet this big before. It sounds delicious though, I'm really going to have to be patient for this one.

American IPA My 2-time gold winning American IPA

Just took a sample of this beer after four days of pitching. I used a second generation of washed us-05 and its almost done fermenting already. This beer is amazing and I wish it would hurry up cause I need this in my life right now!!! I know a little dramatic but it's really good and I...

    Festbier BierMuncher's OktoberFAST Ale (AG)

So I bottled this today and after just one teaspoon of the enzyme it got me all the way down to 1.013. I was looking for this to end up right around there so everything went well. Thanks for all the help.
