I sent you a PM a couple days ago and haven't gotten a response. Are you interested in splitting out the co2 tank? If you aren't I'll get one elsewhere on Monday or Tuesday. Let me know either way.
I'm looking for a cheap regulator I can use to use in my brew room to transfer, seal kegs and such. Anyone have one they want to get rid of? Minneapolis area is preferable but will certainly pay to ship it.
I recently kegged my first beer. I wanted to give the yeast a few days to finish cleaning up as I kegged after a week to open a fermenter up. I hit it with 12 psi to seal it and heard the gas go in then a couple days later I hit it with 12 psi again and I could hear the gas go in again. I let it...
I picked up a super agata bench capper off amazon a couple months ago. Works way better and I'm not scared of bottles smashing or slipping out under me anymore.
I believe I just got the same tuning on Amazon. Judging by the reviews it will be fine and it can handle the pressure so I don't see any problems with it. That being said I haven't used it yet.
I'm going to justify it as backup soon enough I think. What if I run out of co2 on a Friday night and I want another beer?! That would be some scary stuff.
Fair enough. The kegerator is in the dining room and I brew in the basement so pushing with co2 will be tough unless I buy any other regulator and tank. Gotta let the finances settle first.
A couple months ago I saw a chart for how many times to purge a keg of CO2 after filling with beer based on the pressure at the regulator. I'm kegging my first batch this weekend but can't find it by searching. Anyone know where this is at?
I was concerned with the heating pads and light bulbs being safe. I bought an aquarium heater and put it in a gallon glass jar of water in my fermenter. It doesn't change temps fast but it will increase 5-10 degrees in 24 hours if I want it to in my 55 degree basement in the winter. It is on a...
It took some searching but I found the receipt. etmonlinedeals.com. They didn't have any more then but they said they get them in every month or two. They were good guys to work with. Mine had all the parts, it looked like the only problem was a scratch on the tower. They said if they are...
I believe diffusion in gasses relates to the partial pressure of the individual gasses. You would need to know the mole fraction of the co2 and multiply it by the pressure to get the pressure of the co2 component. I don't know the mole fraction of beer gas but let's call it 25% co2. .25*30 psi =...
I'll need to figure something out different to add 3 taps then. I'm leaning towards putting a wood top on it with a coffin but haven't decided yet. After measuring I am thinking I can fit 3 full size balls locks and a 3 gallon in it. The kegs will overhang the front edge a bit but the inside of...
