    Hello from Houston!

This may sound funny but I don't know. I told my father (engineer) that I wanted a pump, and explained what I needed it to do. This is what showed up. (lucky me) I have had it for 10 years and just started to use it. Something’s I know are that it is seal less, all stainless with special...

    Hello from Houston!

It is a 316 Stainless Steel, gear driven pump with a sealess magnetic drive. The valves in the picture allow me to pump from my HLT, or boil, to any other part of the system. I can sanitize with boiling water through my chiller or send water up to the mash tun. I need the valves as my A/C...

    SRM/Lovibond

I forgot about this chart, I have not brewed in awhile. What do you do about the wide ranges of some of the grains. If I am concerned should I just make sure I get the info before leaving the store? I guess for now it is a guess.

    SRM/Lovibond

What do you do if you don't have this information for a particular grain? Is there a database for each specific grain/malt? I see that some of the ones I thought I bought are not in Beer smith, and I was trying to figure out the info on what I bought. Just so I could see the projections...

    Got my gear!

Does anyone have a template on word/excel or a good way to remember to take temps and SPG's?

    Dry hop?

What about filtering them out before the keg? Just a hand strainer work ok?

    Dry hop?

Suggestions? New on the forum so I apologize if this question was covered before. I am going to dry hop my IPA. Should I put them into the 2nd? Or the 1st just before transfer? Recommendations/suggestions would be great. Thanx.

    Hello from Houston!

Just finished my "new" system and brewed my first batch since 2002! Started with an IPA and my sculpture worked well. Minor hiccups and mods required, but I think it will work well. Look forward to learning from the millions of post on the site.
