    Beer stores in San Diego

    Remodel aside, that's pretty much how it was when I lived in Carlsbad. Nothing spectacular, but the fare matched well with their beer selection. I was never completely "dissatisfied" with the food itself, and even though their prices were somewhat ridiculous, it was OK in my book considering...

    Beer stores in San Diego

    Meh, it might be that I became placid to their menu, but after 8-9 months of weekly visits (and several growler fills to boot), their food seemed to be overpriced for what was being offered. Everyone raves about their onion rings, etc, but I've had at least 3/4 of their menu (as of 2010) and I...

    Steak and a BJ day...

    Fix'd.

    Beer stores in San Diego

    Texas Liquor in Carlsbad. Hands-down one of the best bottle shops in the county. Probably spent a bit more $ there than I really should have, but IT WAS WORTH IT. :rockin:

    Late Christmas present SCOOOOOORE

    Ironically I had tonight planned for tasting. Been held up with school/work/life/etc. If I don't post within 24 hours, send medics. :p

    Doomsday preppers anyone???

    You forgot the inevitable zombie invasion. Now those bastards should cause fear and panic if nothing else does...

    Weetabix Hefe....muahahaha

    Park-how'd that turn out? Curious to know what sort of results you got. :)

    Weetabix Hefe....muahahaha

    Rev: probably just tossing it in with wheat extract & some Crystal/Caramel. Sucks that I can't figure out how to enter a new ingredient on Beer Alchemy, but it should be beer nonetheless. :rockin:

    Weetabix Hefe....muahahaha

    So I received a box of Weetabix from my brother as an Xmas gift (don't ask...he's weird like that). Just checked the ingredients & nutrition info. 100% fermentable. Recipe in the works. :D

    Any Sightings of Bigfoot 2012 yet?

    Just got 6 cases in at the bottle shop I work at. Life is gooooood. :cool:

    I've become too much of a hop head

    I've been the same way, but my taste for all things mouth-puckering has died down over the last year. Been on more of a IRS & Belgian kick lately. (A lot depends on the time of year as well.)

    Beer should not be paired with food

    I'm somewhat in the same boat as OP. Once the craft movement finally gained some momentum, people realized that the public's perception of beer needed to change and began making the food pairing comparisons similar to that of wine. Sheer snootiness imo.

    Anybody remember the "A Team"?

    My 3rd birthday party was entirely centered around the A-Team. Plates, napkins, tablecloth, party hats, and even the majority of presents....all A-Team themed. I still remember it to this day. :drunk:

    IPA=blah

    True, but (trying not to hijack here...) so much of type 2 development depends on lifestyle & genetic inheritance that the "too much sugar" theory somewhat went out in the mid-90's.

    Grrrrr!!!! Bad streak.

    So much depends on recipe, execution, aging, etc. that it's hard to say what the problem could be. I can tell right off the bat that 2 weeks on a OG heavy clone like Raging Bitch deserves way more time in primary, but I think you've reached that point where your brew method just needs some...

    IPA=blah

    25 of my 30 years spent as a type 1 diabetic, and all I can think of saying is "WTF????"
