I use 5 star pbw to clean out plastic fermenters. Gets the funky smell and taste out. Sanitize with starsan after and air dry.

Maybe I'm confused, but if you start at 40 doesn't that mean your beer is 5.1% ? If its at 16 today and 16 tomorrow, I'd say its ready to bottle.

I did that but not on purpose. The cashier would not give me cash for my return, instead she insisted on giving me another gift card. I even had the receipt from the gift card showing it was originally purchased with cash. I explained to the manager, what if I bought a gift card with cash and...

You didn't say you had 2 different flavors. We figured you were just stocking up on one type. You need 2 taps. I would just hot swap the tap. A little spit from one beer to the other wont hurt.

Soaking for 10 minutes should be plenty. I wouldn't wipe, air dry for another 10 min. I would use the equipment within an hour. Remember the 5 second rule, germs can work fast, but in this case I think your fine. http://www.zazzle.com/santa+ties

I use the exact same thing. Those also work great for giving the dog a bath outside.

I leave them out at room temp for months until i'm ready to chill and drink them.
