    Rasberry additions to a WIPA

Just an update to this post: The beer didn't come out all that great. The days of fermentation got very hot (in the 100'2) as I had no fridge to keep it cool and the swamp cooler couldn't get it down below 74- 76 degrees ( i think at points it may have been hotter). Slight raspberry...

    Mini Fridge Build Mods

I actually have one. The problem is that the cheaper ones are A. Not big enough and B. they mostly use cooling fans and not refrigerant. They are nice but i need it to get colder than 52 ish degrees ( standard cooling for wine) and didn't want to spend a few hundred on a big wine chiller.

    Mini Fridge Build Mods

I am going to work on a GE mini Fridge this weekend to add a temp controller for a Fermentation chamber. I will take photos for a build guide later but I'm wondering if anyone has had some snaffus with what I want to do. The fridge has that little shelf on the bottom. It was to possibly cut...

So i guess I'm confused about the Heating part. I get the wiring and such and cooling makes sense but how is the fridge or mini fridge supposed to heat? Am i just missing the step where you need to add an element of some sort?

    Rasberry additions to a WIPA

I have been reading and searching through all these fruit addition posts and am getting mixed advice. Currently it seems people add 1/2 lb per gallon but I also read the just using 2lb total would do it which is way off. Im making a wheat IPA with raspberries, trying a 5 gallon batch first. I...

Bonus Season... time to upgrade the brew rig (50A 2 tier RIMS)

SO Im curious where you got the element parts? Also, with that much wattage im assuming it's 240V? Did you just wire all the elements in parallel on a block and then run one 240 wire?

    Fermentation Temps?

Does 74 on the outside of the Ferm bucket means I maybe brewing my IPA to high? I want it to be dry and a good body and way less fruity. If so, does anyone have good ideas for lowering temps while in that fermentation stage. Thank you in advance.

Good Yeast for IPA/Problems with Sweetness

So its possible to get rid of it by more controlled temp ( around 150-ish) then batch sparge with high temp water, use a different yeast and not too much Crystal. I will be making one later today with these thoughts in mind. How does this one look? I may up the gallons but ill just let the...

Good Yeast for IPA/Problems with Sweetness

So I am having some issue with my all grain beers coming out a little sweet to the taste as IPA's go. I have been experiencing this sweetness in the beers for about 5 batches now and I have been trying to narrow down the possibilities of what could be causing it. The constants in the equation...
