Removing stock temp controller from mini fridge

That's pretty much what I have installed in mine. Check out my build here: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/mini-fridge-build-mods-368154/ It works very well for a kegerator/fermentation unit. I just wanted to get that dial piece out of there (as its just hanging out being in the way) but...

Removing stock temp controller from mini fridge

So it's essentially just a relay and I already have bypass that relay with my own by using the eternal temp controller ??

Removing stock temp controller from mini fridge

So just wire the white and black together? Won't that make it run all the time or am I just completing the circuit??

Removing stock temp controller from mini fridge

So I have a stock little temp controller inside the mini fridge I did a build on awhile back HERE and I'm wondering how I can get rid of it. It takes up a little bit of room once I get my CO2 tank and two kegs in there and the fridge will stop working if I just remove it from the wires. I'm...

OG was way off from Beersmith

No. basically I took about 4-5 gallons in the first fermenter (about half what I needed. Started the second one and then pretty much immediately checked it so it was, I'm sure, way over 100 degrees. Which I'm guessing by your last post wont work?

OG was way off from Beersmith

Ha, its possible as I almost dropped a deuce myself!! I don't remember stirring it at all before taking any readings. I did split the sparge runnings into two tanks before combining them both into the kettle and took a reading form both of those and got 1.040 in both. But still at no time did I...

OG was way off from Beersmith

Could it have been from the loss of sugars in the deapspace? It looks like I may have an issue with deadspace as it may be around 1-2gallons My drawing is remedial at best but it show what I had setup basically and I think the way the mesh may have been stirred up into the mash and not laying...

OG was way off from Beersmith

I have been doing all grain for awhile. Most of the time i see my efficiency a bit low but never this bad. Really insane.

OG was way off from Beersmith

For some reason this weekend when I brewed an all grain batch it came out way different that I had calculated. I was making a strong dry IPA and beersmith had told me that it would have an OG of 1.070 and Pre boil gravity or 1.070. I had mashed at 148 for an hour then brought it up to about 156...

STC-1000 Temp contoller stuck on heat!!!

So i re-attached the sensor wires to the temp controller and ran it a few days with nothing in it for testing purposes. No issues. I am now cold crashing a Pale Ale with no temp issues as well either. I'm going to say it was probably the contact from the sensor to the controller in some way...

    Mini Fridge Build Mods

Yes. Go very slowly! bend it slightly the direction you are going with it and check the bends while doing it. If you see a slight crimp coming on, STOP!. See if you can immobilize that crip by using pliers ahead of it so the bending can continue in a different spot. As long as your careful it...

    Quick Carb Beer Bottles

I'm wondering if anyone has come up with a DIY or found a tool to carb a regular 12/22 oz beer bottle with CO2. Im looking for a design to quick carb those beer bottles that didn't quit carb up enough or you just want to drink it without waiting two weeks for conditioning.

STC-1000 Temp contoller stuck on heat!!!

Looks like wiggling the wire only moves it slightly so it can't be a default in the wire. When I wore it back up i will try wiggling them in the controller to see if it changes at all.
