    PWM control of heating elements

Im going to being using a microcontroller and I figure that I would just cycle the heating element on and off as needed (depending on the temperature) and I plan to have my fluids always moving. Would I need to bother with a PWM setup? I guess technically I am doing PWM if I am cycling the SSR...

    My Brew System

I have started the real build. I have a weird DPWS issue that I want to work out before I publish code. Otherwise I hope to be brewing this weekend or next. Check out the link below to my blog. http://bakkerbeerhouse.com/

    RO or tap or both

Awesome advice. Ill do all RO with some calcium chloride until I can get the hang of things. The best part is I get to drink 5 gallons of beer per test!

    Solenoid Valve Control - Help!?

They are real SLOW. Like 10-15 seconds from full on or off. However if I start them in close to off I believe I will be able to control them just fine. I don't mind if it takes 5 minutes to get it to the rate I want. Here is the link that got me on my way...

    Solenoid Valve Control - Help!?

I got a circuit working using PWM, a filter, op-amp and lm317. Then decided to just go with a 24VAC valve. Im going to use the water level (calculate flow from that) with some logic in code to control the flow.

Natural Gas or Electric for Indoor brewing

How did you mount that? Just a hole saw, some oil to keep it from burning and weldless fittings?

    Solenoid Valve Control - Help!?

I guess I wasnt too clear. I plan on doing the same with the valve today. I saw one of those links seemed specific to the heater element, that was were my comment came from.

    Solenoid Valve Control - Help!?

I plan on doing something similar today. Ill let you know if I come up with something. Why control the heater with PWM? I was thinking of just cycling it on and off with a SSR.

    Help with 12v DC Power

For $40 on ebay you can get a 12vdc 30AMP PS which will handle plenty of therse, controller and anything else. I sitll like DC over AC any day since this is a hobby and there is too much metal and liquid to start with. My opinion though.
