Free first order up to $250 at https://www.gfsimpress.com/ custom printing.

Matt, Where did you find the 4x4 vinyl stickers? The largest I can find is 3x3 in the square water proof labels. I see the white gloss paper in 4x4. But, I'm not sure they will stay on cans in a cooler. I'd love to order some labels for my new canner!

    Where is my regulator leaking?

A well maintained regulator will last 50 plus years. I've got welding regulator that were my grand-fathers and they are well over 50 years old and work just fine. There's only 3 or 4 places a regulator will leak. The gauges. They are threaded so some Teflon tape and a wrench will fix the...

    Brand new meter

VikeMan, I'm working that exact angle right now. I requested a RMA for damaged item. After some internet research, It sounds like this a common thing for Milwaukee meters. Go to 1:30 into the video. He flat out says your probe maybe bone dry and crystalized but the meter will be fine. Well...

    Brand new meter

No sponge just an empty tube. The bulb had dried crystals all over it. I'm sure it wasn't over filled just completely dried out.

    Brand new meter

Well here is reply I got. "Simply rinse the probe in water but dry, then soak it in a small cup or jar with at least 2 inches of either storage solution or tap water. Just because the storage solution is leaked out does not mean the probe is bad or defective. Please be sure the probe tip...

How long does your brew day take with your electric systems?

So, 10 hours seems like a awful lot of time. With electric brewing you can multi-task a ton of things. Here are my brew day steps maybe it will help you shave sometime off your day. 1. Pull system away from wall. Plug in. 2. Close all valves. 3. Put water in HLT and water in boil...

How long does your brew day take with your electric systems?

I'm also in the 4-5 hour range. The part I like best about my electric brewery is that it's almost set and forget. The hovering around worrying about temperatures and fires and boil overs all but gone. I can now do other things while heating water or mashing without have to hover over the...

    Check Your Refractometer Calibration!

I bought one after breaking a hydrometer many years ago. They are so easy to use, I'd never go back. If your brewing all grain, i can not see not having one. Cooling a sample three or for times a brew day is such a waste of time.

    Anyone Canning Beer?

Finding kegland cans is easy. Almost all the homebrew suppiers have them in stock. Because of the milliliter conversion they have wierd volume in ounces. Now finding american 12 oz cans all but impossible. Oktober has them but their cost to ship sucks. Almost double the cost of kegland...

    Help needed!

Is there a way you can get a copy of your local water report? Your water could contain chlorine or chloramine or both. I'd for sure start using campden tablets to remove the chlorine/chloramine. Plastic buckets are very soft and even the smallest of scratches will hold unwanted contaminates...

    Anyone Canning Beer?

I bought a 2 dollar Anderson plug. I already had a drill battery adaptor laying around so I just paired up the two with a little wire. My 20v Dewalt batteries work perfectly. I've run 50 plus cans without a battery change. It's a 110 volt, 150 watt, 24 volt, 8300 mA output power supply...

    Wierd Firestone 10 gallon keg

I got it cleaned up and used it for a full 10 gallon batch. Worked like a champ! But now that I've used it. I got a leaky pop-it on the gas side. No big deal if I don't take the gas connection off. I'm going to replace the plastic insert and see if that will fix it.

    Anyone Canning Beer?

I haven't noticed any under carbonated beers with my setup. I still use my Blichmann Beer Gun. I fill cans the exact same way I fill bottles. I'm wondering if he is filling out of the tap. To me it's about as messy as filling bottles. I always had a bucket Starsan that I would submerge...

    Anyone Canning Beer?

I design them in Microsoft Publisher. They are 3.25 x 6. I use full sheet label paper. 3 per page fits with a little waste. I cut them out with razer knife and a straight edge.

    Anyone Canning Beer?

I knocked out 36 Throat Chops IPAs last week end. Only had one bad seam. I can't blame the seamer. That can got damaged in shipping. I thought I could save it but had to drink it instead.

    Anyone Canning Beer?

Matt - I've thought the same thing. I've shopped around quite a bit and most can companies want you to buy a pallet of cans. The cheapest I've found cans is .12 cents a can. Now the pallet quantities is the issue. 7002 cans is a butt-ton! I have a big garage but my wife would kill me if I...
