    Wheat malt question

Have you kilned (oven) it? You need to get it dry before you can mill it and prevent mold. (I suspect you did but can't find any affirmation).

    i stopped folding my pizza

Open, no doubt. Using a knife & fork on a pizza is weird. Also. Pineapple on a pizza. Wrong! Why do so many people discard the crust around the edge of a pizza when it's the best bit?

Watery Bitter (yet another bitter recipe)

I knew that. I made the assessment it is a tested recipe. I understand why it isn't too.

English Ales - What's your favorite recipe?

Did you know, like many older European languages, Welsh is related to Sanskrit. Are you sure you don't want to learn? Imagine the fun you could have with mutations. https://www.twinkl.co.uk/teaching-wiki/welsh-mutations (Should probably stop there before the thread goes down a completely wrong...

English Ales - What's your favorite recipe?

I'm not really a fan of TT Landlord. It's a beer that I will drink if there's not anything better available ("that'll do") so I suspect I prefer your version. It looks nice.

I jacked in working 9-5 when I was 53. Still do stuff for an income but only a few hours a week.

English Ales - What's your favorite recipe?

I'm originally from Cardiff. My go-to beer for many years (1978 to 2013) was Brains Dark. Closest I've got, which, incidentally, was going to be my post to this thread as favourite ale recipe... OG: 1.037. FG 1.010. IBU: 22-ish 75% pale malt. Brains apparently use Optic. I use a mix of Maris &...

English Ales - What's your favorite recipe?

Malt that gives a vaguely honey flavour (which is more than actual honey does). A real puritan would be more pissed at the idea "nut brown ale" had any roast malt in it.

Watery Bitter (yet another bitter recipe)

Apparently originally posted in the wrong forum. OOps, sorry! I did consider carefully the one I chose. Hey! ho!

Watery Bitter (yet another bitter recipe)

Just a bit more complexity than using one or the other, I always do it in beers where I use pale malt. You see it used a lot in historic recipes for the same reason, also to help with keeping the product consistent. Brewers also used imported malt because of supply issues.

Watery Bitter (yet another bitter recipe)

Will be making this in the next few days so I thought I'd share. I make this a lot, with many variations on the hops used, this one is very conservative. I based it on historic recipes and it works for me, at least. I use brown sugar because I think it's an adequate substitute for brewer's...

Adding flavor/spices to an already bottled beer...

Just to re-enforce this. My partner often drinks half a bottle of cider, which I recap to be drank in a day or two. Doesn't seem to make too much difference to the carbonation and she likes room temperature cider.
