    Saw some strange black particles floating during boil, and my centennial blonde looked funky in hydrometer sample. I soaked it for a couple hours in oxy clean. Any body hear of this?:no:

    Tried placing dip tube on new boil kettle to the side and near the wall, whirlpool chilled whirlpool again, let settle 10 minutes, drained to fermenter.And..... everything went in fermenter? Will it really affect my beer?

    I don't think that 4 degrees will always be the difference. At peak fermentation at ambient room will be higher than after it slows, I try to keep ambient temperature around 58 to 60? Ya gotta do what ya can if you don't have temp control chamber.

    Yea,if ambient is 72 and a vigorous fermentation you may be Damn near 80 in the fermenter. That's to warm. Proly sulfur you smell.cool er down if possible. Imo.

    I just bottled a blackberry wine and used cotes myself it tasted good a little acidic maybe, but fruity. Got some 71b in the fridge I'm trying next.
