Well I have gotten a late...missed Jan 1 weekend... and getting a late start today. None the less... RIS will be brewed today and I am offically starting now with this post. 4:30 here in Southern Alabama and 65 deg. I will post some pics as it goes.

HOLY CRAP I almost forgot to order the ingredients for this until today!!! (Family visiting for Christmas distractions and all.) Ordered mine today from my LHBS in Tallahassee, and luckly they had everything, even the Warriors. Will be here on Monday just in time. PHEW!

I had a similar problem in my brew yesterday...which was also my first AG. I also used beersmith. My mash extract volume was a gallon short and my after boil volume was about 3/4 gal short. It was a little annoying.

It's kinda like when you were a kid and would mix all the different sodas together from a fast food soda fountian and call it a suicide.

Well reading this thread helped me make up my mind. I scored a used 60qt Aluminum resturant grade pot in Ebay for $35! Sweet.
