I suggest a flat tip screwdriver and a hammer. Tapping it on the corner of the nut until it loosens. Make sure to tap it the correct direction

They should fit without a problem. It takes me 25 mins to heat to ~160 (12 gal) then another 15 to 20 to heat to 212. Of course ymmv.

What size are your kettles? I never use the three burners except when using a griddle

I use a Gas One three burner and it works well. My 16G pot fits and it’s very sturdy.
