My shot at Dark Lord, brewed on Dark Lord Day!

My friends and I made pretty much this a while back and aged it in a bourbon barrel with vanilla beans. Having had DL, this recipe tastes nothing like it. It's a good beer, not a great one with actually very little stout characteristic at all. I would think of it more as a Strong Ale. DL is...

    Obsidian Stout Clone

It's supposed to be black barley malt (patent). Not just black barley.

Way, way, way over the top Sam Adams Utopia clone - #2

I used the new recipe. Still at high krausen chugging along. I'm hoping this actually works. If not, there is little hope this will be drinkable.

I brewed mine today. This wort was the craziest wort I'm sure I'll ever see...very syrupy. Took me about 8 hours to brew it and it is now chugging away on a yeast cake of Wyeast Eau de Vie. I'll let you know how this yeast works as the bitter I made first was a very tasty beer and had a lot...

    Flowers (edible) in beer?

Southampton makes a great saison with flowers called Cuvee des Fleurs. Really unique and interesting beer. Don't think you would want 5 gallons of it though.

    Kate the Great clone recipe?

Ditto to the recipe...this beer is a-freakin-mazing.

Haha, this is what I expected of this beer, but damn....this recipe isn't even close then!

It's calculating it. That's not the issue. Can you copy and paste the actual recipe from Beersmith? I'd like to see where you got 59 and I went wrong.

    Bink clone...?

Unfortunately for you, there appears to be five beers made by Brouwerj Kerkom starting with "Bink."

I've only had an ounce of the real deal and I know there is not really any hop flavor. However, if you were shooting for 60 IBU's, which I don't think would give much hop flavor either, I wanted to let you know I calculated it as much less in both Beer Smith and the brew365 calculator.

This is the recipe I used: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f12/way-way-way-over-top-sam-adams-utopia-clone-2-a-136326/index9.html#post1758073 Here is my hop calculation: Just trying to make sure no mistakes happen with such an expensive beer for me or you, whichever it is.

Looking at your final recipe...I never really noticed before, but are you missing hops? I'm getting about 10-15 IBUs from the hops in the recipe and you have 59 listed. Something is awry.

    Surly Bender Clone?

Coffee Bender is ridiculously good. Would love to see some attempts for this beer as I made a coffee Indian Brown Ale, which was ridiculously good! Problem is its nowhere near as good as the subtlety of Coffee Bender.

    Tröegs Dreamweaver Clone?

I don't have a recipe, but I would suggest using WB-06 dry yeast for this beer. This isn't a very estery beer and the wheats I've made with this yeast have tasted eerily close to DWW.

Recipe Critique - First Lager Attempt

The reason that the numbers are so high for lagers because Jamil is very emphatic that good lagers need huge cell counts to come out well. I would assume this has to do with preventing as little ester formation as possible or something along those lines.
