    Keg possibly not holding air

I found the leak by doing a trial run and filling the keg with gas. I went to test the prv and no hissing. I felt a Gental cool breeze by the prv. I just so apes it and found it's leaking at the boring on the lid. I'm fixing to bump the psi to 30 to seat the lid and see if that works

    Keg possibly not holding air

Yes the prv's are screwed in all the way. And no I did not seat the lids with 30psi. I did just pick up some keg lube I will try. I didn't want to put the beer in until I know I have a good seal. Going to give the 3p psi and keg lube a shot. Must be operator error. Because 2 kegs leaking with...

    Keg possibly not holding air

So I tried to pressure test my 3 kegs with 3 different lids. None are holding tight. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if all 3 kegs and 3 lids are bad. What i find odd is it seems all 3 lids " leak at the PRV" . All the same spot. Looked at the presure relief valve and the rubber...

    Diy mash tun question

I've looked at various diy mash tuns. I was more or less looking at the question of "is an ice chest better because more are to sparge the grain vs and igloo round water cooler?" It seems they both work really well. My next batch I want to do biab due to it being cheaper equiptment wise. I'm...

    Diy mash tun question

Thanks for the feedback. That's the info I was looking for. The round coolers are quite pricey. And I could do more with an ice chest. I would hate to have a larger grain bill and not enough volume in a round. I'm still like i said a ways out from needing one. I'm pretty new to brewing. So far...

    Diy mash tun question

Should i build my mash tun from an igloo ice cooler or regular cooler? My friend and I were talking about it. He want to build his with a cooler because the larger surface are for the sparge water to go through the grains. Me being new figures igloo cooler because thay what I see most...

What is this on my freezer?

Mine was partly pulled off on mine. I think it is where they pump foam in. I may stand corrected. It's in the same spot and simular looking.
