to be more clear.. the worry is that the low pH of fermenting wort and the time in primary typically 4 weeks will cause leaching of copper into the beer.

I intend to use the table just to hold the electric controller for my mash, and misc other things throughout the brew process.. the kettle is on an anvil burner with leg extensions.

The tables supposed to support 220 lbs. Not sure if I'd need to extend the arm or not. I suspend the bag like an inch off the wort so it's not completely out of the pot.

Looking at this got me thinking... how much weight could that neck hold? 30" Grooming Table

I had been wanting the spike kettle for a couple of months and was hoping to have one as a graduation present. I even set the $600 aside burning a hole in my safe until i could order it. At first it was going to be mid to end of April and then May.. i have a brewing schedule i wanted to keep up...

yeah you really just need to keep it in suspension and exchange the top surface so 02 dissolves faster... LOL i just want more!!!!

The one i built is fine.. I just rebuilt it with larger magnets and it wasnt as fast as i would have liked.

i think im going to maybe get a maelstrom.. i want to stir 1gallon jug starters and that might be the best one for it.

I already have one I built and it does a good job but I'm looking for a better looking stir plate that was not made in someone's garage. Heated is a bonus.
