Show us your Mead in a photo!!!

I need a better camera, my blueberry melomel is crystal clear. I could read a newspaper through the brown 5 liter jug I bulk age it in... Second picture is a tiiiny bit better, I suppose. Also, I'm thinking of making a blueberry and elderflower mead... that'd be awesome.

How dumb are your state/province's liquor laws?

I'm not part of any American State, but oh well. Silly is silly. I think I've touched the subject somewhere else, so I'll just explain breifly. State owned liquor store can sell anything above 3.5% ABV, the rest have to be content with a lower ABV or have a serving permit, such as bars and...

    Northern brewers tongue splitter

Why not ask NB? I'm sure they can give you more tips. Ask their regulars at their forum, too.

    City/Apartment dwellers...where do you brew?

I see some people are having problem reaching temperature with stovepot BIAB. Had the same issue myself, but then I started heating up water in a 10 liter pot (fill it to around 8 liter), bring it to a boil, pour it in the big pot and repeat until I hit the level of water I need. And when I've...

Biggest Flip Top bottle I have ever seen

I got 2, 5 and 10 liter flip top "bottles" - they used to contain svagdricka (litterally meaning weak drink) some sort of low alcoholic beaverage that used to be popular back in the day. Not mine, too damn lazy to take a picture now but here's one with the label intact, which is rare nowdays:

    What are you drinking now?

My brown ale, really supised at how it turned out. Super delicious! Kind of like Abbot Ale. Edit: It just hit me... I need to oak this beer... otherwise it's perfect.

How long does your brew day take?

Shortest was probably around 4 hours, prep included. Stovepop BIAB. Longest was probably over 8 hours... maaaan, that was a PITA brewday.

Anheuser Busch and their deceptive marketing

I don't see the problem with MBC trying to squeeze in on the craft market, and anyone who would not give them the benefit of the doubt is as ignorant as someone who'd only drink BMC. "No thanks, I don't like dark beers." - How often have you heard that from someone who simply refuses to even...

What beer could you not live without?

I could easily live without beer, don't get me wrong I friggin' love beer. Especially my own, but I could live without it - no problem. But if you change the question a bit to: if you had to give up a single beer - which one would it be? Then it'd be harder to answer. Either my Scottish Export...

Completely new to Brewing, your criticism please :)

Not to be a... jerk or a party pooper, but that's got way too many flavors competing. You should really try making plain mead, just honey... water and yeast. Plus yeast nurishment. It's so simple, yet complex. I also suggest splitting that plain batch after primary fermentation, divide it into...

    Recepies

What I love about mead, is that you don't really need a recipe.

    Best beer videos.

That drunken guy video... is one of the worst beer-related videos, in my opinion.

First Brew Day Of 2013!!! What are you making?

English Brown Ale, the style that got me hooked on good beers... but strangely enough I never got around to brew it until the other day. :P

    What are you drinking now?

Funny things you've overheard about beer

Not exactly beer related, but close enough I suppose. I was returning a bottle of mead that I had gotten as a gift. I had saved the bottle for a while, but when I started to hear bad reviews and even worse - the meadery had gone public with that it had been a failed batched, I tried it. It had...
