would this "automatic" submersible pump work for a keg/carboy washer?

I've been using a couple of these, one for my beer line cleaning setup, and another for my keg/carboy washer: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CGAD986 It has plenty of oomph for both applications, my keg washer has a SS sprayball and connects for the liquid/gas posts. It works great. If...

would this "automatic" submersible pump work for a keg/carboy washer?

A quick note from someone who learned the hard way: Steer well clear of any pump that contains oil, which is just about all sump pumps. They *will* leak the oil, which will contaminate the stuff you're cleaning with said oil, which will require a complete teardown, cleaning with dish soap to...

I know this is a long time ago, but what pump are you using to run that nozzle?

Best Submersible Pump For Line Cleaning

It's been a long while, but when the oil was mixing with the water, it might have been white. In any situation, I'd steer clear of any oil filled pump when it comes to food and beverage. Also: Be careful about running too-hot cleaning solution through the lines, they're not designed for high...

So... Grabbed the wrong yeast packet. Anyone ever used Lalvin D47 in a red wine?

I know it's primarily for whites, but I guess it's time for an ex-wine-iment? To be honest the description sounds as if it'll work well with a red to me.

So... Grabbed the wrong yeast packet. Anyone ever used Lalvin D47 in a red wine?

Just put a Winexpert Sangiovese kit together, and managed to grab a packet of D47 yeast from my stash when I was putting it together. Didn't realize I grabbed d47 until I was done rehydrating and already pitched. Has anyone ever used d47 in a red? How did it turn out?

Guide to set internal chest freezer thermostat to >32F; Eliminate external control

For what it's worth, my Kegerator is over 5 years old and still running strong. Haven't been brewing much lately so it's getting pretty empty, hoping to get back into the swing of things now.

    Keg Force Carbing Methods Illustrated

If your fermenter is large enough that you don't have any krausen blowoff, you can pipe the CO2 generated right into the liquid post of the keg, then pipe the gas disconnect of that keg into a blowoff tube (or if you have a pressure rated fermenter, a spunding valve). Five gallons of 1.060 beer...

    Noooooo...

It was a bad o-ring on the beer post of the keg. I'm usually pretty good about checking them and hitting them with a little keg lube, must have gotten sloppy about it this time. Doh. All three kegs got both o-rings replaced; paranoia has now set in regarding leaks. :D

    Noooooo...

Ended up having to take the whole setup completely apart, the fan splashed the beer *everywhere*. Thankfully there's plenty left.

    Noooooo...

RIP, about 1/2 gallon of Kolsch. Also, RIP the rest of my morning while I clean this mess out of my kegerator. The air circulation fan was splashing it *everywhere*, which means a complete teardown. *Sigh*

    Ultra Barrier beer lines

I used the EJ tubing once, thought it would be easier to work with. It is more flexible, but I did notice that the 1-2 ounces in the line was flat upon pouring, and when it sat for a day or two, would be both flat and oxidized. It seems to be very gas permeable. Ended up switching back to...

    Malt Mechanics Conical Fermenters Kickstarter

That's a different setup than mine has, also it doesn't have the other fittings attached on the lower part. The lid on mine is big, like 11" or so in diameter, held on with perimeter clamps and sealed with a silicone ring.

    Malt Mechanics Conical Fermenters Kickstarter

I used to push with 1-2 psi from it, but it starts to audibly leak pressure even slightly above 2psi.

    Malt Mechanics Conical Fermenters Kickstarter

Yes, a long time ago. Works pretty well, but the fittings that came with mine (standard ball valves) were somewhat junky, and I replaced them with a butterfly dump valve and a sample port setup for racking. Don't use it much these days, as I moved onto a pressure capable fermenter.

    Very slow regulator CO2 leak

It's probably leaking at the valve stem on the CO2 tank. They're designed to seal completely only when fully opened. When closed, the stem seal is allowing the CO2 left in the regulator to seep out.
