TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

Sorry, I hate to be that guy, but any idea what I might be doing wrong? I bought an ESP32, the TFT touch screen, LOLIN D32 Pro, & cable. Still trying to find someone to 3d print the case. Local university never responded and I'm waiting to hear from a local library. I downloaded brew...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I'm not yet convinced. Still experimenting myself. But I'd either do half and half or all post-fermentation. I wouldn't do all during active fermentation.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Trend here seems to be dry hopping in one charge post-fermentation.

    Looks sold out already.

Pressure transfer of dry hopped beers

I ferment in kegs and always had a terrible time with clogs when transferring, even with a floating dip tube. But I’ve found that floating dip tube + dip tube screen + cold crash cured all. I’ve done two four gallon NEIPAs with 8oz of dry hops and had no trouble at all.

Outdoor Kitchen/BBQ patio with beer tap project.

What a gorgeous space! And so nice to hear from you! Your Haus Pale and Bavarian Hefe were some of the first good all-grain brews I ever made more than a decade ago. You really helped me along more than you can know. Hope you're doing well!

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I’ve always used 10-15% each of flaked wheat and oats for haze, mouthfeel, and foam. But I’ve always been a bit skeptical. Treehouse claims not to use any. It looks like trillium does sometimes, like with Vicinity, but not in Melcher Street. Both are favorites of mine. So that suggested to me...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Thanks. I’ll try both the step mash and the lower fermentation temps. I have a pack of verdant that I might try next, too.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I’ve made a lot of NEIPAs that I think are pretty good. I get to Treehouse once a year and regard them as the pinnacle (and places like trillium and Bissell bros.) and the sort of character I’m after. Other Half, too, they’ve got an brewery near my office in DC. I’ve always used either...

    Corny keg thermowell

Have you compared the thermowell readings to a thermometer insulated and taped to the exterior? I've thought about doing this but wonder whether it's significantly different.

TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

I ordered the parts and even found a program at a nearby University that will 3D print @Thorrak 's case.

Looks great. Are you serving from the same keg that you dry hop in? Or does your process utilize 3 kegs (fermentation, dry hop, serve)?

TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

Thank you both for the replies. Its probably cheaper to build two of these rather than buying those Tilt repeaters.

TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

I'm going to make one of these but I'm wondering if I really need to make 2. I've got a new setup with two minifridges, one stacked on top of the other, and I ferment in kegs. Running my first fermentation with the tilt last week, I put my old tablet on top of the bottom fridge (underneath...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Thanks, that's pretty interesting. I've been using a Hockhurz for my Hefe and it made a big improvement IMO. I hadn't considered doing a step mash for a NEIPA. I wasn't aware of the "slow pour method," either, but just now found a beer & brewing article about it. Thanks!

What do you attribute your consistently fantastic foam to?

    Grainfather!!

When that first became a popular solution I was unable to find it in stock anywhere. My understanding is that they've since changed the design and it no longer fits. Williams Brewing says they don't recommend it for the GF and they have several reviews on their site with people complaining...
