New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I aim to keep that temp. But I'm brewing on a grainfather, so its just the temp i set my controller to.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Yeah, I was a bit confused why it seemed to be a huge hit and then disappeared from most recipes I saw on here. I tried it once and really liked it.

TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

I'll just add that I have zero computer programing skills and this was super easy. There was a moment when I thought it didn't work and had to turn here for help. I was using the wrong usb cable. So that gives you an idea of my skill level.

    Disposable oxygen bottles in Maryland

Yeah, the first one is what I posted a few days ago. Most have the wrong regulator connection and you said I might need a rx to get those filled ;) I think I found someone near bwi selling both an oxygen and a acetylene tank who is willing to sell me just the the 02.

The welding tanks are proving difficult to find. Best I've found is $150 for a o2 and acetylene tank together. I may just buy one on ebay for $100. 20 cu ft New Steel Oxygen Cylinder - CGA540 Valve Welding & Medical Applications 633131433869 | eBay

    Strata hops

I had OH (dc)'s All Strata Everything recently and really was not a fan at all. I do have 8oz in my freezer that I'll try to pair with other varieties soon. Re Columbus, one of the podcasts I was listening to recently (probably Craft Beer & Brewing) had a pro brewer on who claimed that using a...

    Mixed Hop Storage

I try to be good about hop storage. I buy in bulk, keep in the freezer, and vacuum seal any open packages. Is there any downside to mixing varieties in one vac sealed bag? For example, yesterday I made an IPA. Opened new bags of 3 different hops. Measured and tossed in all the hot side...

TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

I was having trouble getting cases printed and @gromitdj kindly reached out me and offered to print two for me. Thanks to @gromitdj and @Thorrak! This place is awesome! I’ll get around to flipping the screen so it’s not upside down ;)

    Cold IPA

Yeah, the name doesn’t make a lot of sense. But the description is sounds interesting. Just not sure what they get out of a lager strain fermented to avoid lager character. I’m thinking of trying star party for this.

    Cold IPA

I've been intrigued by what I've read about this style. Wayfairer seems to have started it, and describes it as follows: Their malt bill is something like 70% pilsner and 30% corn or rice. They use 34/70 but ferment warm to get high attenuation and reduced ester production. I'm interested...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Does anyone else here subscribe to Craft Beer & Brewing? I recently signed up, in part because there was an article I wanted to read, but also because the have these seemingly in-depth video courses. Here's the summary of one of the newest courses. I started it yesterday, but I'm only about...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

https://beerandbrewing.com/podcast-episode-246-zach-frasher-of-slice/ Sharing this podcast that I thought was pretty good. Talks about brewing NEIPAs but most interestingly, he repeatedly references HBT as the place he would always go for clone recipes and to learn to brew NEIPAs. I wonder if...

    Disposable oxygen bottles in Maryland

So a welding tank is more likely to have the right connection? https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/tls/d/oxygen-and-acetylene-tanks-hvac/7501798191.html

    Disposable oxygen bottles in Maryland

Oh, that’s right. I guess I’ll keep looking for a smaller one. I don’t really want to store that big one. Those little red tanks were great and lasted me a while.

    Grainfather G30 not heating

I'm not sure what the "thermo switch" is but there's a reset button underneath the unit. Its happened to me 3 or 4 times. This solved it every time.

I was going nuts 2 weeks ago trying to find one of these. Is this a supply chain thing or some change in law?

    BrewFather Water level discrepancy... ?

Total water is the total amount of water you will need on brew day. Assuming you don't top off, its your strike water plus your sparge water. Some of that is absorbed by the grains. What's left is your pre-boil volume.
