Thanks for posting. I did move forward and buy the bottling wand. My first impression was that its much bigger than i thought it was going to be. I still like the idea that its stainless which is why I purchased it in the first place. What i don't like about it is the size, it felt a little...

http://howtobrew.com/book/section-4/is-my-beer-ruined/common-off-flavors This link has a list of common off flavors, one of them being metallic. Plus browse through it and buy the book. It's an extremely valuable tool. Sometimes trying to help someone online is like playing Pin the tail on...

    Stuck Keg Posts

How did you do the PBW soak? I've had this issue and here's what I did. Fill the keg half way with water way hotter than you can get from your tap. I've used close to boiling water. Add a healthy scoop of Oxy. Keep the lid off. Place a bucket over the top and carefully flip the whole thing...

    What disaster bottling was l.

It may be an issue with the dome and possibly the wrong size. Does it have a magnet to hold the cap in place? If so put a cap on it and send a pic of that. It is possible to use a capper wrong. Are you allowing it to grab the neck of the bottle properly? Cap an empty bottle and show us what...

    Kolsch Water Profile

Thanks for the tips. I thought that Sulfate enhanced bitterness. I went with: Ca 35 Mg 3 Na 8 SO 40 Cl 45 Turns out the more I think I know, the less i actually know.

    OxyClean +1

So I use Oxyclean as well and it works great. Something that has always been on my mind is how much to use. I usually just grab half a scoop or 3/4 or whatever, it depends on how dirty something is. I have always wondered if i could use less for the same job.
