Yup, but that's way overkill for what is needed, frame could be a simple 2x4 construction (still probably overkill) with a simple pulley, some casters, and something to tie the rope off on once you have the bag out. Like one of the things you wrap a boats rope around at the dock.

At this point in time, I am currently doing extract / specialty grain partial boil brews. My list of successful DIYs is short, a fermentation chamber and a self made heater for that chamber. I have also hobbled together a letting system that sits in a fridge that I'm not allowed to drill. So...

Are you trying to start it after the hopper is already full of grain? I don't have any first hand experience with home grain mills, but I do know it is harder to stall an already moving motor than it is to keep one from starting in the first place.

Now you got ne thinking... What about some sort of hoist with a moveable base? So you slide it over, lift out the grain bag, then roll it to the sink... Think engine hoist and you will get an idea of what I'm thinking. Either that, or you can almost create your own ceiling mounted rolling...

I can imagine they do. And I've been an unloader at FedEx during the dead of summer. Trust me, I know all about the heat in those Friggin trucks. I mean why can't they be nice loose cargo shorts so I don't have to see moose knuckle when the ups guy shows up at my work?

I would like to, but after I did my last emaw, the look in my wife's eyes said I was very close to a berry punching. Lesson learned : don't let your wife know that you just spent more on some dude you have never met than you have on her in recent history. So yes, I deserved the look.

Slamming this, then off to the basement to clean it up a bunch tonight. Beer just happens to be in the basement as well.
