The Warrior hops will make it overwhelmingly bitter. Way too much hops.

I can do 10 gallon batches and consider them efficient and providing a maximum amount of brew. I have tried 15 gallons, which just doesn't work for me. Three kettles at once is very busy and not good. If you can, I urge to try 10 gallon batch and you'll probabably like it.

Juicy Fruit gum will kill gophers, moles and other rodents. Clogs up their digestive systems. Decon works well but should be placed well down the tunnel to keep out of reach of cats and dogs.

Amazing what more time can do to cure a beer. I've had brews that were gastly at 4 weeks. Downright good at two months and great at three months. Unless you just have to utilize the bottles or kegs for something better, don't give it the drain pour.

Only thing I'm going to say good about PET is that's the way to go if you have bottle bombs. Otherwise, I prefer glass as more durable, sanitize easier.

Negra Modelo and Dos Equis. But, I consider Mexican beers good but lackluster. European beers are very much my favorites.

Clean, sanitize, clean, sanitize. Overdo this before your next brew. You don't want a repeat with a vinegar producing yeast. As one that has experienced loss, I grieve for your loss. The thought of 5 gallons going down the drain literally brings tears.

I had a half notion to vote for Clorox Lemon Scented Bleach. But that sanitizer has been outvoted a long time ago.:mug:

Sounds like Gyser bottles rather than bottle bombs. Bottle bombs produce shrapnel. Gysers foam out most of the contents. Was that universal with your whole batch or just a few? I had a pilsner that was gyser and like yours a lot of sediment. After two more weeks, it all settled down though...

Krausen is the yeast culture floating at the top of beer. But as the yeast becomes inactive, it sinks to the bottom.:mug: But if your're talking of not seeing yeast floating in bottles, then neither have I seen that. Anything floating would be considered a contamination.

I'd stay with 5 gallons, give more headspace. IMHO

The Simcoe and Warrior are very potent hops. I've used half those amounts and the bitterness was overwhelming. And I generally like lots of hops.:mug:

Phishing is a play on Fishing, as in fishing for information. The ph is like in phoney. Least that's the way I heard they came up with the term.

Main problem I have is phishing. Most lands in my junk mail box, but I get lots. PayPal scams, winning the lottery and quick riches from people in Nigeria.:mad:

You must have a chiller to be making a pilsner this late in the season. Temperatures are now too high for me to do that. Next batches in November.
