    I had problems when first using SS but once I switched to cold/room temp water it really cut down on the foam. I also let anything I used SS on kegs, etc drain upside down before I used it.

    Why do winemakers make way more $ than brewers?

    In Ohio its $4,000 a year to open a brewery and another $4,000 to be able to sell it by the glass. I think to open a winery its $75 a year and your ready to start selling wine. My dream is to open a bbq brewhouse somewhere in NW Ohio but before you even open the doors your down $8000.

    I am so glad Im not the only one...In the area of Ohio I live in Coors Light is the go to beer so my I.P.A. and Bourbon Barrel Stout didnt go over to well at a camp out we had last night. I also brought a few bottles of Dogfish Heads 60 minute IPA which went unopened..

    dry hopping in keg question

    I like to dry hop directly into my fermenter then rack to a secondary after a week or so. That way you leave behind hop particles in the trub. Dry hopping into kegs gives my beer a grassy taste faster then if I dry hopped into the fermenter. Maybe the trub absorbs and locks away some of the hop...
