I have the AHS blue moon clone in the carboy right now. Took a gravity reading today and the sample was pretty delicious. Should be ready to bottle in the next couple of days. I think it's gonna turn out really well.

To the OP... This might sound weird, but are you from Watertown, SD by chance?

I think it should be an IPA. I don't know about anyone else, but when I drink an IPA, it feels like ninjas are fighting in my mouth.....

Yeah, I was using my autosiphon as well but, like beerrific mentioned, it kind of leaks and I make messes.... So I just spent the bucks on a wine thief....

Well I brewed last night and think I got some pretty good notes. Everything went well. I didn't really encounter any problems at all, except for my tiny apartment kitchen..... My target gravity was 1.045 and my reading was 1.046, so I impressed myself there. When I woke up this morning it...

Haha, I'm sure a lot of that has to do with the fact that it's all extract, but it's better than it was a couple weeks ago.... I'm still holding out hope that it'll be good with some more aging.....

Oh yeah I do that too..... It's even worse for me though, because around here we don't have liquor stores with that big of selections. I don't think people in this town know that anything else besides bud light exists....

Well I think this hobby is gonna take over my life.... I can't wait to get my first batch into bottles so I can start my next one. I've been spending every hour that I'm not at work or sleeping, reading these boards..... Beer is great!

Well my first brew went pretty uneventful, so I guess that's good. About six hours later it seems to be going well. Looks like I got past the first part just fine, now I just have to try and wait it out.....
