    I put in some quartered apples and an orange I think last time I smoked it, came out really well... I will probably do that again as well.

    I agree the fryer was probably juiciest.. but like you said, way too much work... last year i injected and smoked and it came out really well so I probably am going to do similar... i've not tried brine method yet but I watched this and may try it...

    Just wondering if any of you care to share how you like to cook your birds? Usually I just put it in the oven, but I have also deep fried them and last year smoked one. I think I will try the smoked one again as it came out really well. Please share how you cook yours and see what we can learn...

    Hell I dont see why not, You have already said you arent in it to make money, so do your research, learn all you can and just have fun with it. It is quite satisfying to brew your own and be able to enjoy it at the end of the day. Mistakes? sure there will be tons, but its not rocket science...

    Took it out and put it on wire rack on the counter, its def firmed up, will probably put it back in fridge and wait a few days and see, maybe this weekend will try it again.. sure hope that intense smoke goes away... thanks for the info.

    Hose Cleaning/Sanitizing

    every few brews or so I hook everything up plate chiller pump filter hoses etc and fill few gals with PBW and just let it run for awhile at 180 or so... just in case anything is hiding somewhere... so far no issues with that.

    I wrapped in loosely in cling wrap and stuck in fridge til i could figure out what to do with it.... should i have left it outside for a few days to age a bit? I also thought of taking a damp clean towel and "washing" the outside of it...then ageing it... thoughts?

    Well no one is above criticism thats for sure... esp me! having watched too many hours to count of these I understand the basic concepts of puddle control and what its supposed to look like, I can see it in my mind, its just going to take practice practice and more practice, certainly i wont...
