    Cooper's Draught Beer Kit

Great Video Grasshopper, haha, didn't realize you were the revolutionary brewer. I have watched most your vids. I live in NB, so yeah your right way cheaper to brew our own beer, even if you add specialty grains, and DMEs. I think the most expensive beer I've made so far(I have brewed 6), has cost...

    Coopers English Bitter

Yes it was alot of sugars, and the reason I did so was the"bitter" scared me. Not trying this beer before, I thought maybe balance out the hoppiness. Didn't realise the bitter came from the malt. like I said after a few days in the bottle it tasted way too sweet. Thank goodness it is more...

    Carbo Tabs vs Priming Sugars

I like priming sugar over carb tabs for the following reasons:you can control the carbonation easier by adjusting the grams of dextrose you use, you can use dried malt or other fermentables to modify the taste, you can use different size vessels for your beer without adjusting anything, cheaper...

What are the cheapest reusable commercial beer bottles you know of?

I just bought 80(500ml)bottles from a local micro brewery, for $35. Expensive but they are not labelled and I like the shape of the neck, its wide then narrows so there seems to be less chance of blow ups. Everything is more expensive here in Canada. The owner even apologized for the high price...

    1st Coopers Dark Ale Kit-Success

just thinking out loud here, as I am pretty much a newbie to the whole brewing seen, but would 3lbs of DME be too malty, like unbalanced,no hop taste? Not really a hop head, but I do like to taste a little hop. Was at the LHBS today, and they had no Coopers Dark Ale left, so I bought a Morgans...

    1st Coopers Dark Ale Kit-Success

definitely better with age.The carbonation is actually in the beer now if that makes any sense. Nice head on the one I'm drinking now. I can see me making this again. Maybe I will try 3 lbs of light DME next time. It looks like a Stout, but not a thick mouth feel like one.

Low ABV - Coopers Lager Kit

I just brewed the same one. It is a very light beer. There is a different taste, almost fruity sweet. I think it's just the kit. I'm really letting mine age though at 65f. It's hard not to open a bottle, but everyone says leave it at least a month. My ABV was low as well, about 3.5%. Next time I...

You should drink for the drink, and do so responsibly. I almost agreed with everything you said up until this line. No one has the right to tell me why I should drink. Yes be responsible, but if I want to get buzzed, that's my prerogative.

    1st Coopers Dark Ale Kit-Success

Had a couple friends over last night, and they really enjoyed it. Said they are going to buy me another kit. I know the A B V is good, because I just called in sick.

    1st Coopers Dark Ale Kit-Success

Just tested my 1st batch, and it happened to be a Coopers Dark Ale. I had enough beer to fill 30(750ml)bottles and almost enough to fill a 335ml Dos Equis XX bottle. This was bottled on Jan.11th and brewed on Jan.3rd. I used the kit, and added 1.3kg Muntons Brewers Syrup, 1.1lb of dark DME, and...

Can I add a spigot to an old plastic carboy?

I just syphoned from the primary using as auto syphon and bottling wand. I put 2 Coopers bottling tabs in each bottle. Will let it carbonate and mature in the bottles. It wasn't bad doing it, and actually kind of fun. My 15 year old son was helping me, so I'm sure he was taking mental notes for...
