How important is an airlock really??

How important is an airlock really??

Ok.. So i've got this plan to do a 5 gallon boil and split it up into maybe 6 different small fermentors and top each one off with various different steeped and mini mashed grain "teas" to get a good idea what each one tastes like on its own and what it contributes to a brew. I'm going to...

    guinness bottles

I use a good bit of de-wigitized guiness bottles.. i have also (FWIW) experimented with leaving the widget in. just for fun really. I've only done it once in a German Hefe and didn't have the pleasure of opening it. SWMBO opened it and it spewed all over her.. tee hee.. I don't recall...

How do I drink my beer??

well.. i went ahead and hooked the tap up and dropped the psi as low as i could get it. Still gobs of foam. i did manage to get a glass or two out though. the beer wasn't bad at all warm although it was better cold. (i just put what i could into a grolsh bottle and stashed it in the...

How do I drink my beer??

I might give this a shot.. or maybe just drop the thing in an ice bath after all and drink lots :) I'll make sure to back off the pressure.. I can imagine that serving warmish beer around 30 psi could make quite a mess :) ws
