    SMaSHing Plan - 5 in 1

I realized late last night that I won't ever progress as a brewer until I can tell the difference between various hops - their bitterness, flavor, and aroma. I've been reading up on SMaSH beers and it seems like it could be the perfect vessel for experimenting with different hops. But, I don't...

    Tangerine Wheat Fail, Suggestions?

I know one gallon is a small batch, so when we try again I'll probably bump it to 3 gallons biab. Is the grain bill okay to scale up, or should I change/substitute something?

    Question about priming sugar

I have a mini-fridge with a temperature control set between 55-60 F. I assume the fermentation was a little warmer. I'm trying to cold crash the beer, so the fridge temp was lowered to about 40 for the past 36 hours or so.

    Question about priming sugar

I have a 1 gallon batch of an attempt at a tangerine wheat ale ready for bottles. How much priming sugar do I need for 1 gallon?

Looking for a Cinco de Mayo Beer

My dad and I are brewing Saturday for their annual Cinco de Mayo party. We're an Irish family, so any excuse to drink is a good one. We are both new to brewing, so probably a recipe with extract and specialty grains. Looking to brew a 5 gallon batch. My dad prefers porters; I'm not picky. But...
