    BIAB spreadsheet for MAC users.

In my infinite boredom being deployed to Afghanistan I sat at my computer for a good 10 straight hours and made a simple-to-use brewing spreadsheet. If you find any issues that need to be changed give me a heads up via email(its listed on bottom of the post), or simply reply to the thread...

    yeast starter

When I don't use a yeast starter, I usually use 2 packs of us-05 for anything above 1.060ish. I personally don't re-hydrate them, just sprinkle em in. More details would help with your situation....

    Wedding Brew?

That kind of wine VERY easy to make.....its more so the sweeter style weighing in at about 6-7%. And I guarantee everyone at the wedding will enjoy it. Each kit is about 50 bucks. about 1.80 per bottle.

What do you say when you taste a bad homebrew?

Exactly, people aren't going to learn anything about improving their brews if you say their beers are good even if they suck. No need to be a dick about feedback...however sometimes they don't take it gracefully. Maybe offer to join/assist them during a brew session?

    Questions about brewing extract Pliny

At that point it would be beneficial....after all, you do want to oxygenate the wort to improve fermentation. Post fermentation you don't want oxygen. @ SAVY...I wouldn't whirlpool unless you have a valve on the BK. I've had issues keeping the "cone" stable at the bottom, might be better...

    Does anyone parti-gyle?

Ive done it with success. IIPA->pale ale or session beer IIPA->second runnings got some dark LME to make a session brown ale. These beers are usually for finishing of the hop pellets leftover from a brew that didn't require the full oz. After all, its basically 5 free gallons of beer.
