Collapsible 20L "no chill" container recommendation?

And is "BPA-free" what I'm looking for in a container, if searching on Amazon?

Collapsible 20L "no chill" container recommendation?

Hey guys, So going the no-chill method, have done a couple of batches this way but just "no chilling" in my fermenter, which has been fine so far but obviously risking it with the amount of headspace leaft... so wondering if anyone has a collapsible 20L/5 gallon cube they would recommend? US...

No hop aroma yet, will that come from dry hopping?

It's got better with a few weeks aging too, so really happy with it. Trying a different grain bill for another NEIPA (and loads more hops!) and then can compare the two and aim to do even better every time hopefully... :)

    My first sour brew progress...

@RPh_Guy is making a basic gose versus a sour as simple as adding the correct amount of coriander & salt at the right time in the boil?

Pilsner v pale ale base malt differences?

Yep this I definitely intend to do at some stage, once I find myself a recipe that I truly love and want to "fine tune" to improve ...etc.

Pilsner v pale ale base malt differences?

I think this is the most important thing about their experiments: They are showing that those of us that don't want to have every grain under the sun in stock, or possibly don't have access to every grain under the sun, it's quite possible to switch out malts and create a similar beer end...

NEIPA recipe, how to make a beer "juicier"?

So my revised grain bill for my next NEIPA, after advice from a commercial brewer friend, will be: pale ale 75% wheat 9% carapils 9% oats 7% And using amarillo, citra & mosaic hops. We'll see how it goes...

Pilsner v pale ale base malt differences?

I'm looking forward to trying Maris Otter one day, but not available in my current location unfortunately.

Pilsner v pale ale base malt differences?

G'day brewer buddies!! Have googled a bit, and read a few threads on this forum where it's mentioned briefly, but am hoping to get some specific input from more knowledgeable brewers than I on the main differences one would discern between pilsner and pale ale as a base malt within the same...

NEIPA recipe, how to make a beer "juicier"?

I had seen a well rated recipe somewhere using Golden Promise, so sounds like that might be worth trying if possible.

NEIPA recipe, how to make a beer "juicier"?

Cool, will look into availability here of this yeast. The amount of hops may depend on price here ;) but was thinking of at least doubling from the recipe, I can always see how that compares to NEIPAs I buy.

NEIPA recipe, how to make a beer "juicier"?

So possibly add lactose rather than additional oats? Or as well as?

NEIPA recipe, how to make a beer "juicier"?

Hey brewers! I just made a kit NEIPA, that's probably more of a hazy IPA, this one: https://minicerveceria.com/kits/463-cerveza-neipa (Google Translate if you need, though grains & hops I think are pretty clear ;) ) The "base" flavour I liked a lot, but not really "juicy" enough for a proper...

The time you were bottling and ran out of beer bottles...

Probably some generic store brand soda, no?

The time you were bottling and ran out of beer bottles...

I had read someone else using soda bottles in the group, hence while I knew I was cutting it fine with my bottle count I wasn't overly concerned about being short one or two. Obviously gotta make sure you keep them in the dark not being dark bottles (though I keep them in the dark normally...

The time you were bottling and ran out of beer bottles...

I was short by one litre bottle, I'm not that concered that it will happen again. This thread was more about laughing at it happening at all, not asking for how to avoid it happening again.

The time you were bottling and ran out of beer bottles...

Not really an option since I'm not living where I am long term, nor the space to have anything like that many bottles... ;) And less than a litre more than I had expected (after removing some fruit that was fermented with it), so not off by too much...

    Official Broken Hydrometer Count

2,598 + 2 = 2,600 :( I broke my first one a couple of weeks ago after just a couple of months of brewing, said to myself, "Be careful, they're far more delicate than you thought..." I then broke my new one after a week, putting something on top of it in my brewing equipment box. Doh!! Have my...

No hop aroma yet, will that come from dry hopping?

Having a very early taste at the moment, and after the comments above I'm pleasantly surprised by the amount of hop aroma & flavour I'm getting from the beer. Not as much as many of the best NEIPAs I've purchased, but definitely enough as you'd hope for a first batch testing how things go...
