If I was just starting out, I would go with these kegs

They intend the internal bottle to be one time use then recycle, only reusing the outer shells. Likely the reason for PET.

Kamado cookers thread (green egg, kamado joe, primo etc)

King Griller I picked up for $250. Long term durability remains to be seen, but has worked great for the last two years. I can easily smoke a pork shoulder for 14 hours overnight and still have coals left for roasting peppers or whatever else right before dinner.

Haier 7.1 cu ft freezer for $175 at Costco

Good to know, I'll have to check ours this week. SWMBO wants one to buy bulk meat. I told her about keezers and she said "cool, we should get two if they're still that price so you can start kegging"!

Anyone seen these at Costco lately? Are they still 175 in store?

    Things SWMBO says on brewday:

Feel sorry for some of you poor bastards. 10am on brew day, wort is a boilin in the kitchen and the wife comes home from her workout. She walks in and says it smells wonderful, then immediately goes to the garage and brings back a couple RyePA's from the last batch-"how can you stand there...

Plastic 1/6 bbl pub kegs- anyone tried em?

I'm planning on going to kegging soon and seriously considering starting out with these. I'm not seeing anyone selling parts for these, like replacement o-rings?
