HOWTO - Make a Hockey Puck Bottle Opener

What goalie issues... we have 5! LOL We also need some more D-men. Of course, the Blackhawks had a hell of a 3rd period last night. :cross:

    Jack's Apricot Vanilla Mead

Nice! I think I might have to try this. I wonder if an addition of a little buckwheat honey would really round out the vanilla flavor......

Brews of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) Project

I did a King Slayer cranberry mead. Bottles corked, and sealed with gold wax, of course.

What is your favorite local beer (besides Homebrew)

Damn near anything from Surly. Abrasive, Darkness, and Pentagram are among my favorites. Rainmaker from Steel Toe Brewing Oar Lock Stout from Excelsior Brewing Let it Ride IPA from Indeed Brewing The Twin Cities area really is getting some great breweries

    Colorants? Anyone experiment?

I hope you find a way to make a beer with a red head. I want to make one too! Even a deep red brown head would work for me. That really would be perfect in fact

What was your best 1st time brewed recipe last year?

I'm probably in the same boat with that one. I did the PM version and it turned out fantastic.

    Surly Abrasive Clone

Sounds good. Seems like alot of Citra. I know ive tasted citra in it, but I wouldnt call it dominant. Would love to hear how it turns out. I really like this beer, just not the price it fetches.

    3d Printed Tap Handles

Both of those are really great handles! Ive been thinking of making one myself. I have a Prusa Air 2 XL. Ive had better luck printing in PLA than ABS. Although I have gotten some good prints with 618 Nylon.

    switching to all grain

Silver Soldering it really is a piece of cake, IF you use the right solder and flux. I messed around with mine for a while using silver solder and paste flux. What a waste of time. You really really need the right flux. Harris Stay Clean liquid flux is the trick. There are a vendor or 2 here...

    Apple ale

fresh cider or store bought stuff? That looks pretty good! Its on my list of stuff to try someday

    oxygen on the cheap

No. The threads on an oxygen tank are reverse threads. For the exact reason of not being able to put that on there.

    New RIMS setup

Nice job. I love the strut holding the keggle. I may have to do that myself. I want to to a on demand rims tube too. Seems like a time saver BTW thanks for the link from arfcom.

stores in mn that have build a sixer

Yeah, Four Firkins in St Louis Park has a huge BYO 6pack wall. The MGM on Hwy 7 and 101 in Minnetonka does that too, even my local Harbor Spirits in Mound does it. They dont have a huge selection, but they have some different stuff. Not just the big craft stuff.

    Hoppo's Brewery & Wine/Beer Cellar

Wine storage (looks good for 22oz bombers too), a nicely stocked liquor selection, and a pile of of Oberon cases surrounded in nice woodwork and tile. Looks like heaven to me.
