    What is your neighborhood brewery?

The closest to me is still one of my favorites. Excelsior Brewing Enki in Victoria after that it gets more east into the metro. Steel Toe Lucid Badger Hill Bad Weather LTD Surly Dangerous Man etc etc etc. Minneapolis has a ton of breweries now.

Weird question... is label glue regional?

Schells bottles have labels that fall right off in an oxyclean soak. Leaving very little residue behind as well. Plus the bonus of some pretty good beer inside. Lucid's 22oz bottles have labels and glue that are impervious to nuclear attack. Being that Badger Hill and Lucid are in the same...

I saw that for sale somewhere as well. Looks like a pretty cool setup. I dont have anywhere near the capitol for that. Really wish I did though!

What was your Gatewaybeer to craft beer?

Boulevard Wheat. Not having developed a taste for the MBC stuff, a local bar had it on tap, touting it as 'unfiltered wheat beer'. I still enjoy it. But thats the one that started the whole thing for me.

    New Glarus

I must be the only person that didnt care for Moon Man. There just wasnt anything there. I do love their Spotted Cow, Cran-Bic, and the sours I have had from them.

Yeah, my insurance is super cheap too. under $200/yr with full coverage, $500 deduct, and all the same limits as my cars.

Natural Gas - 20 gallon brews

What size supply line do you have running to it? And how long? If its too small, even if your burner is rated at XXX btu, it wont achieve it unless there is adequate gas supply.

    Twin Cities brewery recommendations

Surly is a solid choice. All depends on how far you want to drive. I dont know whats happening so much on the St Paul side of the river, but West of it.... Indeed Brewing in Minneapolis is great. Has a fun tap room. Dangerous Man isnt that far from that, they are tap room only, so you wont find...

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

Did my first packer brisket on Sunday on the KJ. Used the 'Bludawg' method. Turned out amazing. Having never done a brisket before, I was a little apprehensive. But this method was a piece of cake. The rub could have used a little excitement, I just did a 50/50 by weight of kosher salt/pepper...

    Bottel storage

I keg too. But I like to bring beer to friends as well. And I don't have nearly enough kegs. So I force carb and then bottle some of the beers. So much easier than the wait for bottle carbing IMHO.

    Keg Lid Foot / Lowes

Try looking at the wire shelving caps. I bet they will be the right size. And cheap.

    Bottel storage

I found a random box size while at work that holds 20 standard size longneck bottles perfectly. And we had a job come in with a bunch of them. so free boxes for me! Its a Uline box, so its an easy one to find should I need more.

    Accelerated dry hopping

So, you add hops and vodka to that, and basically make a hop extract immediately? Any ratios of vodka to hops or vodka to AA?

    Idea for Mint Chocolate Stout

Preservatives and yeast dont mix. Cacao nibs and cocoa powder work for chocolate flavor. I bet there isnt even a drop of real chocolate in an Oreo anymore.
