The other day I was having lunch at BJs and used my AHA membership for the discount. The manager came out and told me that he had just started homebrewing with a kit. He asked for some advice so we chatted for a bit, pointed him to a few books and such.

For 1 gal batches I'll either use the autosiphon to bottle just out of primary (or secondary if I'm already using one).

Got my results in, I scored a 30, losing most points to not being to style. Seems mine was a bit too roasty for an altbier.

I'm in the same boat, no medals but I'm looking forward to the feedback

I'm making a shot at an iced cider. I used 5 cans of frozen concentrate and topped with store brought cider. I'm using WLP500. I'll have to check my notes for the OG. I pulled a sample to check it (I'm shooting to get it to the 10-12% range). It had a bit further to go, but it tasted...

Bottled a bourbon oaked stout today and brewed an Alt bier today. tis been a good homebrew day
