    The 4 week ferment included the 7 day dry hop and would have been sooner but work kept me busy lol its all bottled and carbed it doesent taste bad by any means its just more like a red ale than a ipa lesson learned I still have very drinkable beer

    I also work for the company that owns most of the Detroit area bdubs and the franchise owner has the choice of what's on tap but I work for a smaller portion of the company that ONLY has MI craft on tap

    Just did a ipa last sat with us -05 pitched sat night did not see krausen till tues morning just keep an eye on it if your really worried take a gravity reading

    UPS or FedEx?

    I prefer UPS thats who ends up delivering most stuff I order plus the delivery hub is 2 miles from my house so my stuff always gets left at my door by noon regardless if I am home or not

    Thanks yeah I was kinda suprized at the galaxy my dads neighbor has galaxy cascade willamett and giggles what I have is last years but I am going next week he has a lb and a half of each for me from this years crop

    I just did this recipe for a 5gal batch and I did a double batch sparge the tail end of the 2nd sparge was kinda thin might need to add a couple lbs of malt to make it work

    Are any of these huge issues to worry about?

    As I have only done 1 all grain batch I can't answer for the grain but if you have time make up a starter or 2 for the yeast and they should be fine as long as they were in the fridge

    immersion chilling

    So I get decent temps on my ground water but just switched from partital boil extract to all grain and only have a 20 foot chiller took me 20 mins from boil to 70 would I really see much diffrence if I made a 50 foot chiller

    So was able to brew my Octoberfes ale yesterday and for my firs allgrain things went pretty well missed my mash temp by 2degrees and my post boil og by .001 so perfect on that just going to be a bit dry but couldent have done half as well without this wonderful site

    Hahaha yeah its all good I just ended up takeing my kids swimming instead ill brew Tuesday morning my next day off not to upset just excited lol
