Putting together my first kegging setup on a budget.

Now that's an interesting idea! I've already been looking into pressure fermentation as a way of using co2 more efficiently, but it hadn't occurred to me to to use one keg fermenter to supply gas to another keg.

Putting together my first kegging setup on a budget.

Thanks for all the replies. After taking in all of this information, I have decided... to bottle another batch or two. o_O

Figuring out the procedure for my first all-grain brew. (BIAB)

I'm trying to figure out the game plan for my first all-grain brew. It will be the first beer I've made since doing extract kits in 2013. I'm just waiting for some ingredients and paraphernalia to come in the mail. This is the recipe and procedure, as I've pieced it together so far. Let me...

Putting together my first kegging setup on a budget.

I don't. I've never brewed when it was very cold or very hot, and never attempted a lager, but the six or seven extract batches I've done all came out excellent after fermenting at room temperature, whatever temperature that was at the time. Thanks for the input on the keg kit. I'll probably...

Putting together my first kegging setup on a budget.

Anybody? That's what I get for posting late at night, lol. One more question, if anyone is reading this: Is it practical to fill a growler from a keg and put it in the fridge as a way to chill the beer? I won't be able to refrigerate a keg anytime soon.

    1-Gallon Brewers UNITE!

I've always done 5 gallons, but I've thought about experimenting with some 1-gallon batches of extract and kveik "speed beer" this summer. It would be a quick and painless brew day because of the smaller equipment, and it doesn't even have to be an hour long boil if you are making a rough...

Putting together my first kegging setup on a budget.

I'm just getting back into beer brewing after several years, and also preparing to make the move into all-grain and accumulating the stuff I need (which is surprisingly little, since I plan to start with BIAB). I've always wanted a keg setup eventually, but figured it was a long ways down the...

Thanks, IslandLizard. I'll stick with 5 gallon batches for a while, but after I put together a mash tun, my next move will probably be a bigger kettle for 10 gallon batches. Hopefully I'll be able to get a kegging setup at the same time, because dealing with 10 gallons worth of bottles sounds...

Hi everybody, I'm just getting back into brewing again after taking almost 10 years off. I brewed several extract kits years ago, thought about getting into all grain but never made the jump. Then moved, and got busy with other projects, and never got the brewing stuff set back up again. But...
