My responsibility stops at the iphone app, the bcs-460 is made by Embedded Control Concepts: BCS-460 Temperature Controller. It has an open interface, so I created an iphone app to control it. FWIW, before you go off and start buying temperature controllers like ranco's and stuff, remember...

How much have you spent on equipment?

I do the same math, the equipment falls into some weird budget category, that doesn't really count, it's hobby. Now the beer, that I calculate, very carefully ignoring any equipment costs. In my experience making too much of a business out of a hobby it looses something...somehow caring...

Brew Buddy(was iBCS or iphone your brewery) based on the bcs-460

yeah, the remote aspect is interesting, but not the driving force...its more about automation and consistency for me. I also gain some time by having steps on a level of autopilot while I do other things like weigh hops, or clean up the brewing area. Generally all the remote I really need is...

Brew Buddy(was iBCS or iphone your brewery) based on the bcs-460

I think the response would be to go hire someone to do the initial fill and the cleanup and leave it at that. Or go to the beer store, but I would expect some heat if I went that far... :)
