    Aluminum Brewpot

I moved from a stainless 16 qt to an aluminum 30 qt, and noticed my beer go better, because of the increase in volume. I then moved to a 48 qt stainless, and it got marginally better again. I would say use what you have. I never had an 'off' taste with the aluminum.

    Mold in my fermentor

Hey, I recently got out my fermentor after storing for a little while. I just use the 5-gallon pails. Anyway, they were stacked together, and mold grew in side of one of them. I have cleaned this away with soap and water, but the slight scent of mold remains. Any thoughts on how to get...

    Newbie Question about Timing

    help

I worried about my fermentation on my first batch, but after 36 hours or so, it was going strong. Now I don't worry too much about it. If you don't see anything after two days, try to aerate or re-pitch.

    First batch

With all the brews I have done, I have found the flavor improves significantly with time. I used to try to wait 2-3 weeks before starting to drink but I noticed the last few beers of the batch always tasted the best. now I don't seriously sample (other than at bottling) until 4-5 weeks in the...

New to the Hobby, please help

www.howtobrew.com is a great on-line resource. I was going to get the mr beer kit but went to my home brew store instead. I am glad I did. I just got a basic kit, but a few months and 5 great batches later, I am very happy I bought the HBS beginner kit. Good luck to you!

    Bottling/Sanitation Question

I thought my first brew would be ready for bottling, but I need to wait as it is still fermenting in the secondary. Anyhow, I sanitized all of my bottles tonight with a no-rinse sanitizer. How long can I keep them before then need re sanitizing, or do I need to do that again no matter when I...
