The munichs in Dead Guy Clone?

I've brewed 2 different Dead Guy clone recipes. Both use Munich at about 7 L. One recipe uses Caramunich II (45L) and Carastan (34L). The other recipe just uses Crystal 40L. Both were very good. So I'd say go with the Caramunich II and Munich that is between 5 & 10L. However, at the end...

Anyone Brew Jamil's Lagunitas IPA clone?

I mashed at 157, undershot my OG by a few points. The color and flavor came out as expected, very close to LIPA. I was very pleased with the beer. although the hop aroma began to run off 2 to 3 weeks after I first tapped the keg. Cheers, Glenn

    Diffusion Stone Sanitation/Storage

Mine is attached to a stainless wand. I made a PVC tube with a permanent cap on one end and a removable cap on the other for storage. I boil the stone/wand after use, store in the tube, then fill the tube with starsan for a soak prior to use. Cheers, Glenn

    Omegang vs Clone

I used Forbidden Fruit in a Grand Cru once its not my favorite. The flavor is pretty distinctive and more phenolic than estery. Cooler fermentation may get you there, but I would suggest using another yeast strain. Cheers, Glenn

Question on a magnetic stir plate

    1. You can get the stir bars at some homebrew shops and also online science supply houses. 2. Sterilize your stirbar before putting into the starter. Follow your normal process, pitch slowly trying not to dump the stirbar into the fermentor, then dump it out when cleaning your flask. If you...
