    BG12 Low Pressure Issues

Where do I get the additional orifices? I'm having similar problems with a nice flame but it takes a long time to bring 7 gallons to boil. I have the head 1.5" from the bottom of the kettle. I'm using a stock BG12 from Agrisupply. Any advice is appreciated.

No Chill brewing directly into a Conical?

Conical was cool to the touch 24 hours later. My conical has a clear polycarbonate lid so I could see in and there is no visible sign of contamination. I pitched a 1L starter and oxygenated with pure O2. Hopefully a successful first "no chill" brew. Thanks for all the advise.

No Chill brewing directly into a Conical?

I just did a no chill last night into my conical. I used the keggle port and tubing to fill from the bottom up. This morning it is still 100°. I don't know how long it will take to chill to pitching temp but I'm starting to get worried. I'll let you know.

American Amber Ale Zach & Jack's African Amber

Dry hopping without filtering usually makes the beer slightly more cloudy. I brewed my clone version of this recently and dry hopped 1oz of cascade for 7 days. It came out with a slight cloudy look.

Got a BUZZ on my own beer

I have told so many people this......there is nothing like a good buzzzz from your own home made beer. The only thing that makes this better is to build your own equipment that turns the grain into a buzzzz. Welcome to the new reality. :drunk:

Brew In A Bag RIMS system

The pots are the 44 qt ones and they have the basket inside. The basket is great for keeping the bag off the bottom and gives me room for the bulkhead at the bottom. I drilled the hole and bought the bulkhead fitting from bargainfitting.com. I've sent them a lot of cash for this build...

Burglar's big electric brew in a bag build (bbebiabb)

I don't need a RIMS tube because it's direct fire. This will keep my mash temp at the right set point. The recirculating does three things, it keeps my enzymes in solution, it keeps the temperature profile consistent so the thermocouple reads a accurately, and it helps clearify the wort by...

Burglar's big electric brew in a bag build (bbebiabb)

The hose clamps on my sparge arm is to keep the poly tubes in place. I do live near Ofallon Brewery but I haven't been to a meeting. I sent you a PM so I don't hijack this great post. Here is a link to my build. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/brew-bag-rims-system-234646/ :mug:

BIAB Recirculating Rig - First Brew

Thanks, I'm not done yet. I still have to hook up the temperature controller. I also just got a 5 rpm face mount gear motor that I'm going to try to use to stir the mash continuously. Talk about scope creep. Prost,

BIAB Recirculating Rig - First Brew

My first brew with the new BIAB single tier recirculating system. It went extremely well. Now I just need to hook up the temperature controllers for the burner. Here are a couple brew day pics. I brewed a clone of Mack & Jacks African Amber.

    Another BIAB n00b

My Brew in a Bag recirculating brew stand took it's maiden voyage today. Everything went well and the recirculating wort converted the starches in about 15 minutes less time than before. The wort was much clearer thanks to the recirculation. Next step is to hook up the thermocouple and...
