    raising temp on fermentation.

    The kit i just did i pitched a tad high, i want to say somewhere around 70-72 and i think there is slight sweetness resulting from it but nothing off putting. Maybe in the cooler months this will be something to try as right now temp s around here are plenty high. Cheers

    raising temp on fermentation.

    So i have read a lot on here about starting a primary at one temp and slowly ramping up several degrees. Not sure how people go about this but i have a couple "heat mats" i use for seed starting my garden and curious if wrapping one of these around a bucket or carboy could do the trick.

    For my 31st birthday, this past May my wife bought me a nice beginners kit from a lhbs. I am soon realizing I will be pouring money into this hobby for a long time.cheers

So i ended up getting another bucket for primary and another carboy for secondary along with the honey ale kit i was looking for and some odds and ends hahaha, add that to the two nb kits i ordered last night and i think its a pretty...

    So my first brew is bottled and I'm itching for another brew, just pulled the trigger on the dry stout and winter warmer from nb and tomorrow I plan on stopping by the lhbs to pick up some common ingredients in bulk and another carboy maybe some other "necessary items" plus a honey ale kit...
