Cascade from another place - (Argentine Cascade Hops)

I was in my LHBS, and they had a Cascade from either Argentina or Australia... I can't remember which. The label said something like "no citrusy aroma". My question is, can you really call it a Cascade?!

small batch IIPA not brewed yet.. warning: long

Good to know... thanks the price is high, i agree. But I can walk there, and the owners are pretty cool. I think a lot of the price is due to the location and size. Thats what the DME is for ;) thanks again for the advice

American IPA Dogfish Head 60 Minute Clone (AG) & Extract

My first AG started as a clone of DFH 60 min IPA, from the recipe in Mr. Calagione's "Exteme Brewing" book that was converted from extract. OG 1.067 and transferred to secondary at 1.015, using almost the exact grain bill as stated in OP. The only major difference that I can see is the recipe...

    Safe suck-start siphon

I asked my LHBS, whats the best way to start a siphon? one of the answers I got was to attach a smaller hose (came with the kit), suck on that, pinch the siphon hose, then remove the smaller one. It worked great and I don't see anything wrong with this method. I couldn't find anything...

Is a homebrew buzz uniquely euphoric?

I poured my first carbonated brew today. I felt euphoric before the first sip. Then SWMBO commented, saying it "has a good smell, tastes really good and has great color". I told her, "Thats the nicest thing you ever said to me!" #5 is it for nOObs like me. :mug:

Worst Dumb Mistake You've Made While Drunk?

After many shots of 151, I passed out on the toilet in the bar's only restroom. I locked the door so they had to break in. From what I'm told there was a line of (pissed off) people who saw me with my pants down and my head in my boxers. I don't think I took a **** in there...

    breaking bottles?

Hey-O! What an awesome web community! Well, my wife has been tolerant so far of this great new hobby (addiction?) but if the bottles break I may have a choice to make. I just bottled my first batch, following a homebrew shop's recipe as best I could. But after reading How To Brew, I'm...
