    Mesh basket for MLT

So, after reviewing all the available products from the sites posted here, I'm definitely going with the Spike Solo Basket as I can get the 15 gallon model for $275, whereas the least expensive comparable option was over $400. Thanx again for all the recommendations/suggestions!

    Round Silicone Mat

Sweet! Didn't even think to look at a kettle manufacturer. Thanx, jwil911!!!

    Round Silicone Mat

Anyone out there ever try to find a 16-inch round or square (preferably round) silicone mat? I've been searching forever (I know), but still can't seem to find it...searching so long now, I'd even go with hot pink if I could find it. (lol) Looking for these to place between my table and the...

    Temperature Controllers

You're on a roll this morning, Golddiggie! :bigmug:

    Temperature Controllers

Unfortunately, there's not enough room in the existing thermowell to accommodate double probes. (Hears someone yelling, "That's what she said!" in the distance.)

    Temperature Controllers

Yeah, I thought about the option of swapping between the heating and cooling probes, but wanted to not have to manage that process. It would be nice to either have two thermowells, one for heating and one for cooling because the heating and cooling are separate units in my setup, or to have a...

    Temperature Controllers

Changing some things out in the brewery and am stuck deciding which way to go with temperature controllers. What are people doing that are utilizing separate heating and cooling controllers as pertains to the probes? I am using a glycol chiller that has its own probes for the cooling portion...

    Quick Disconnect Cap/Cover

Looking for caps/covers for male 1/2" Quick Disconnect fittings... Do these exist? I've been searching all over the innerwebs for a product like this or even something that is close to it and would work, but the closest I've found is caps/covers for hydraulic QDs. Unfortunately, those don't...

    Backyard Brew Shed / Bar

Yeah, sadly, with the way the house is laid out on the property, there's just no way to add an addition. 😭

Unfortunately, no. The local municipality has worded their building codes perfectly in order to prevent this sort of thing from happening if one is to be "above board" in the process. Don't understand how they can allow some things that seem to me to be absolutely ridiculous, but others that are...

    Mesh basket for MLT

After looking at all of those products, and taking into consideration IslandLizard's statement regarding recirculation, I really want to splurge for the Spike Solo basket, but the dimensions listed won't fit my MLT perfectly. Either I'd go with the 15 gallon model, which would set nicely on the...

    Mesh basket for MLT

Looking for a mesh basket for inside my MLT to make cleanup a bit easier. Like BIAB, but with the basket instead of a bag. Ideally, the diameter would be 15 inches, the height would be 17 inches, and have 2 1/2 inch legs or lift of some sort to keep it above the pickup tube. I've been googling...

    Backyard Brew Shed / Bar

Yes, especially since I had already purchased the 3 basin stainless steel sink...and 36 inch stainless steel exhaust hood...and toilet and sink for the half bath... Jeez. Well, got a good deal on 'em so I guess it's not that bad, but not being able to use them really bites!

    Backyard Brew Shed / Bar

Yeah. All good ideas, guyz. Guess I just have to embrace "bending" the rules to make this work. Thanx again for all the suggestions! :bigmug:

Yes, very strict. Just don't understand the level of unreasonableness they choose to embrace. I could actually build a structure of any reasonable size. The permits come into play when the structure is larger than 200 sqft and/or will have power/water/sewer connections.

First rule, above all others, floor drains are simply not allowed in any type of residential structure. Aside from that, the two types of structures are... Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) - Must be used as dwelling - Full bath allowed - Only single basin sink allowed - Sink basin cannot exceed...

    Backyard Brew Shed / Bar

Political rants are pretty much the norm nowadays, right? ;) Aside from that, there are 2 types of buildings I am "authorized" to build. One requires a full-time resident to actually live within, the other does not. However, neither of which allow for floor drains, multi-compartment sinks, or...
