Dumb question perhaps from a newbie, but is StarSan or OneStep truly 'no rinse'? If I squirt the insider of my bottles with a vinator, is that good enough, or should I rinse them as well with clean water after sanitizing?

Yeah, I have done that in the past too with success, but trying to get away from plastic bottles (and the temptation to open a 2L bottle which has needs to be consumed in one sitting! LOL)

I have some empty screw-top wine bottles lying around. Will those work for beer? Will the original screwtops hold carbonation?

Wouldn't the bottles with ice in them float though? Not sure how effective that would be in cooling. Also, although the bottles may not melt, I do believe the plastic may leach chemicals if heated (I remember reading somewhere not to drink from a waterbottle that's been in a hot car for...

Ok, I'm wondering about bottles. I assume swing-top bottles are easier to use than cap bottles, but thougtht I would test that assumption before invesitng in them. So... 1) Are swing-tops better? 2) Do the swing-top caps last? Thanks in advance...

Should the water in the airlock be a sanitized solution, or is plain water okay? One beginner kit recipe says to use sanitzed water, the other just says water. Does it matter? Thanks in advance...
