The mountains in the background are too high above the lake for Arrowhead or Big Bear. Perhaps Dry Lake near San Gorgonio Mountain is not so dry after all the recent rain in CA?

Yeah, bad guess. The walls of Hetch Hetcy look more like Yosemite. I don’t think it’s far enough south to be Little Lakes valley, although it could be. Are we near Mammoth?

It doesn’t look like Lake Almanor as the mountains seem too close. I’m going to go further south and say Hetch Hetcy.

Lake Tahoe, CA (or possibly NV)?
